Description of where you work, and what you do: Education: Certified Yoga teacher in London UK, moved to America and studied a body/mind therapy called Core Somatics. I then recieved my MA in Psychology and became a licenced Marriage and Family Therapist. For the past 10 years I have focused my time as a freelance writer, artist, Drama student and facilitator for evoking the creative spirit. I have travelled extensively to India and Nepal volunteering my time helping those in need. I am willing to do almost anything but my most rewarding time has been working at an orphange and school in Kathmandu Nepal.
History: Over the years, my instincts have propelled me towards the spontaneous creative arts with a true understanding and belief in the importance of balance between mind, body & spirit. All my experiences have culminated in the trust of the creative process and the belief that connecting to the authentic, natural self leads to a full balanced life.
Obstacles: Breaking through the collective force that is not always aligned to my goals. It has taken time and work to build confidence and trust in my own voice and personal journey.
Mentors: Books, friends & teachers have walked alongside me and supported my journey. Most recent (over 25 years) my husband Jerry and in the past 5 years, Katie Sanford a 92 Year-old Jungian Analyst and friend.
Advice: Listen to your own inner voice and instincts. This often means taking a risk but the journey can be achieved by taking many small achievable steps. If you know the jump is too long and you won't make it - take a shorter one. Confidence in your self takes time. Life is an exciting process with many challenges. Look forward to them.
